Thursday 1st December - Christmas Meal - NOW AT PREZZO!!!

This Thursday is our Christmas Meal!  In a change to previous plans, it is now at Prezzo, where we have the choice of two three-course menus, at £16.95 or £19.95.  We are free to make our choices when we get there.

The plan is to meet for drinks at 44 Below (Queen Street, below Exeter Sausage and Grill) at 7pm, and our table at Prezzo is booked for 8pm.

The dress code is formal, so dinner suits for the gents and dresses for the ladies.

It should be a great evening, so we hope to see as many people there as possible.  If you want to come, and haven't yet let us know, then please either email the group or write on the wall of our Facebook group.

Thursday 24th November - Christmas Lights Switch-On and Pub - TONIGHT!!!

This evening we'll be heading to Princesshay to see the switch-on of the city's Christmas lights.

The plan is to meet outside Next (top of the High Street) at 6pm, in order to see the switch-on at 6:30pm.  This is then followed by live music from Mama Stones' bands until 8pm, and then we'll head to a pub for a few drinks.

Thursday 17th November - FREE Cinema Trip!

This Thursday we shall be heading to Exeter's Picturehouse Cinema for a free screening of a new romantic comedy drama called "The Future".

'The film follows the relationship of Sophie and Jason who hate their jobs and their lives so decide that in one month they'll adopt a stray cat to give them a sense of meaning.  Terrified about their impending loss of freedom, they quit their jobs to pursue their dreams.  Sophie wants to create a dance, Jason wants simply to be guided by fate.  So what will become of them in that month?  Narrated by the cat it's an eccentric watch!'

In order to enjoy this free film, you do need to become a member of the Slackers' Club.  This is completely free, and just requires a few details such as your name, email, phone number, etc.  You can easily join at the cinema before the film on the day.  You do need to have your Exeter University student card with you. For those who don't know where the Picturehouse Cinema is, we will be meeting outside Next, at the top of the High Street at 8pm and head down to the cinema together.

Thursday 1st December - Christmas Meal at Café Rouge

This year's SAGE with DofE Christmas Meal will be held at Café Rouge on Thursday 1st December.  We are getting a great deal of three courses for the price of two at a fantastic £16.95!

We need to know final numbers, and menu choices, by this Thursday evening at the latest, as we will be finalising numbers with the restaurant on Friday.  Please take a look at the Christmas Menu by following this link:

The restaurant are asking for a deposit of £5 per person, so please bring this money and your menu choices to this Thursday's evening (at the cinema), or email your choices to exeterssago@gmail.com and arrange a time to meet with a member of the committee to pay the deposit.  We must have your menu choices and deposit by Thursday evening if you want to come to the meal.

Do let the committee know asap if you would like to come.  It should be a great evening to (nearly) end the term on!

Thursday 10th November - Snack Pimping

At this week's meeting we will be making a party ring.  But not just any old party ring.  A pimped out GIANT party ring, similar to this:

Thursday 3rd November - Farmers' Union Pub Quiz

This Thursday we shall be heading to the pub for a quiz at the Farmers' Union (click for map).

Get your thinking caps on, and meet us at the Farmers' Union at 7:45pm for the quiz to start at 8pm.  It costs £1 per person, and there are prizes to be won!

Friday 28th to Sunday 30th October - South West Freshers' Extravaganza - REMINDER

Just a reminder that this coming weekend is the South West Freshers' Extravaganza in Keynsham, near Bristol.

The camp costs £30, inclusive of campsite fees, activities, and food.  We will be getting the train there on Friday afternoon, and back on Sunday afternoon.  In order to get the cheapest rail tickets possible, we are looking to book soon, and preferably get group saver discounts.  Please let us know asap if you would like to attend.  You can do this by emailing exeterssago@gmail.com, or writing on the wall of our Facebook group.

We hope to get tickets booked within the next couple of days.  If you decide later in the week that you would like to attend the camp (and we hope that you will!), then you will still be able to come, but train prices may have increased by then.  It promises to be a great weekend of camping, activities, and socialising with other SSAGO clubs from the South West.
